Two oval, old sepia-toned portraits on the book cover for the family album

FAMILY PHOTO BOOK

This photo book was created for a private client in NYC, encompassing the family history from the 1920s until their multi-generational family reunion in Poland.

Some older photographs required light retouching. The book was organized chronologically, giving it more black & white and sepia tones in the beginning and progressively gaining more color as it also reflected progress in photographic technology.

The photo album was printed on high-quality photo luster paper.

The first pages filled with photos from the early 20th century were mostly b&w and sepia-toned.

Black and white family photographs printed on the sepia-colored background.

In later pages with pictures from the 1970s color was introduced. This was the period when color photography became affordable with Kodak films and the distinctive look of Polaroid, which became a cultural phenomenon. Moving on, more contrast and livelier colors were achieved for a modern look in later pages.

Family book pages with 70s and 80s tonality.
Sample pages from a photo book with images of the stork nest and stork flying.
